Samuel Hesketh

Creative Director & Programmer

"Carnyx fulfills a dream of mine to work together with a kind and understanding team of creatives. I've never felt more excited and motivated to work on projects with people."

Vaan Greavor

Audiomancer

"Being part of the team has given me far more insight into the inner workings of the creative industry, teaching me new things not only outside of music but also much more within it - such as how to work with audio in ways that go beyond music itself."

Sarah

Artist

"Working with the team has taken me in directions I didn't expect. I've picked up pixel art, web design, and aspects of game development I'd have never explored otherwise. A good community makes it fun to push yourself further than you would alone."

Alexander McPherson

Marketing & Content Creation

"Working alongside individuals with such creative talent, and being able to help bring their creations to the public eye has been a fulfilling role."

Ron

Artist

"Volunteering for Carnyx has given me the opportunity to work alongside likeminded individuals and pursue my passion within a comfortable environment, as well as developing my style into a more sleek and refined look."

Eli Forbes

Artist

"Being part of Carnyx has been a really cool experience—it's nice building something with other people from the ground up. I just want to keep creating. Even if just to look back and admire the journey."

Andrew McCabe

Web Developer

"Carnyx is an amazing team where everyones contribution is valued. Working with the team has allowed me to expand my knowledge in multiple areas and apply it in a more professional manner."

James Lyall

Audio Technician

"Carnyx is a dynamic group and working within the team lets me have input on the art, gameplay and music. Contributing to the team lets me build a portfolio with the freedom to be creative at the same time."

Carnyx Studios is a non-profit creative community where people come together to be part of something beyond their own work. We enjoy supporting each other to develop skills in all aspects of game development, whether that's art, code, music, writing, or anything else that goes into making video games.

Our name, Carnyx, comes from an ancient Celtic wind instrument which was often shaped like the head of a boar or other fearsome beast. We are inspired by our Celtic roots and believe it's vitally important to celebrate this colourful culture!
